W.A.S.H. Clean Water Project

Charity Australia International’s W.A.S.H. Clean Water Project is dedicated to providing safe and sustainable access to drinking water for vulnerable communities in Tharparkar, the northern regions of Pakistan, and Baluchistan — areas where water scarcity, drought, and contamination continue to affect daily life. Through this initiative, CAI implements a range of practical water solutions tailored to community needs, including small hand pumps serving around 10 families, large hand pumps supporting 20 families, water wells benefiting 30 families, and both electric and solar-powered pump systems with storage tanks that can provide clean water for up to 50 families each. These solutions are designed not only to supply water, but to reduce disease, improve hygiene, and ease the burden on women and children who often travel long distances to collect water.
Altogether, the program’s current project models can benefit approximately 110 families — reaching more than 660 individuals based on an average household size of six people. By delivering reliable clean water sources, Charity Australia International helps communities improve health, sanitation, and overall quality of life while creating long-term, sustainable infrastructure. This project is more than just water provision; it is an investment in dignity, wellbeing, and opportunity for some of the most underserved populations of various part of world.
