Devastating floods in Pakistan
Nearly 10 million children are in need of urgent assistance after monsoon rains wreaked havoc across Pakistan, causing widespread damage to villages, homes, public facilities and infrastructure.
The rains, which began in late July, have been the most severe in Pakistan’s recent history and have led to increased risks of waterborne diseases, drowning and malnutrition. Hundreds of thousands of homes have been destroyed or damaged, while many schools, water systems and health facilities have also been affected.
Charity Australia is working with the government and Al-Khidmat Foundation in Pakistan to deliver safe drinking water, lifesaving medical supplies, therapeutic food supplies, and hygiene kits to children and families. However, we cannot do it alone and we need your help in order to provide more assistance.
